No Doctors, No Development - Putting Infrastructure First
Jess Brown-Fuller MP and the Chichester Liberal Democrats are calling on the Government to recongise the imbalance in development - where communities are facing more and more housing with fewer amenities.
Liberal Democrats are clear: new housing must go hand in hand with new GPs. We’d require that new or expanded GP surgeries be up and running in areas of new development as soon as the first homes are sold - by using developer levies to fund the contracts (or salaries) of GPs while patients are still moving in.
We believe that the way to build more homes is through community-led development, and guaranteeing the GP services people need – whether that's the people already there or the new families who will move in – is critical to that.

Re-open Chichester Custody Centre
