Planning Committee
Composed of 13 members, the Planning Committee handles all matters related to planning and zoning.
The Planning Committee does the following:
- Reviews planning applications for the construction or modification of building
- Enforces and administers Building Regulations
- Administers objections to applications for HGV Vehicle Operators Licences
- Takes actions to deal with dangerous and dilapidated buildings
- Determines matters related to high hedges
- Determines applications affecting footpaths and bridleways
- Determines the control of advertisements
- Administers orders related to the preservation of trees, buildings and hedgerows
- Administers the exinguishment or diversion of public highways
- Service the purchase notices to waste land.
