Planning Committee

Composed of 13 members, the Planning Committee handles all matters related to planning and zoning.

The Planning Committee does the following:

Reviews planning applications for the construction or modification of building
Enforces and administers Building Regulations
Administers objections to applications for HGV Vehicle Operators Licences
Takes actions to deal with dangerous and dilapidated buildings
Determines matters related to high hedges
Determines applications affecting footpaths and bridleways
Determines the control of advertisements
Administers orders related to the preservation of trees, buildings and hedgerows
Administers the exinguishment or diversion of public highways
Service the purchase notices to waste land.
