Chichester City Council

The City Council appoints and supports the Mayor. It manages street furniture and bus shelters, runs Chichester in Bloom, and the Assembly Room building. It advises the District about applications for planning permission in the City, advises the District on how to distribute the New Homes Bonus of about £150,000 in the City and distributes £50,000 a year of its own money in grants to Community groups.
